South Corsica attractions
In the area of South Corsica you can find many beautiful towns and beaches, or take a tour along the cliffs or to the islands. The map below will help you navigate the surrounding attractions.
Be careful: public transportation in South Corsica is almost non-existing (with exceptions of few buses to the most popular beaches), so expect to drive a rental car or to take an excursion.
South Corsica Main Sights
Among the top attractions of southern Corsica, we can highlight:
- Bonifacio – with its steep cliffs and fortress on the mountain, this is one of the most impressive and beautiful cities in France
- Porto Vecchio – a small historical city with a citadel surrounded by the most beautiful beaches in France
- Lavezzi Islands – a nature reserve with fantastic landscapes with granite boulders and crystal clear water
- Rondinara Beach – a unique shell-shaped structure, the purest fine white sand and an amazing sea.
- Palombaggia Beach – the most beautiful and most famous beach in Corsica and the Mediterranean (pictured above)
- Sartene – a rugged, beautiful city with a famous Easter procession, famous for its wines.
