You are most likely traveling around Corsica by car, and then the issue of parking becomes an acute problem. If you are staying overnight in one of the hotels in Ajaccio, then it may include free parking on the premises. But if you are passing through, then you will need to park somewhere in the city.

Street parking in Ajaccio is paid only during the period 9 AM – 12 PM and 2 – 7 PM. Free on Sundays and public holidays.

  • People with reduced mobility, holding a “mobility inclusion” card with the note “disabled parking” or a European parking card, are entitled to free parking in Ajaccio in all such spaces.

 

Street parking in Ajaccio

Street parking in Ajaccio is divided to 3 zones depending on how close they are to the city center. Each zone has its own limit of parking and price.

ORANGE ZONE:

  • 113 slots, on the street cours Napoléon.
  • 1 hour free, discount valid once a day.
  • Price: 1.00 euros/hour.
  • Maximum parking time: 3 hours from Monday to Saturday.

 

BLUE ZONE:

  • 1248 slots
  • Price: 0.50 €/hour
  • Maximum parking time: 5 hours from Monday to Friday / 8 hours on Saturday

 

LONG TERM ZONE:

  • 532 slots in 5 car parks
  • Price: 0.50 €/hour
  • Maximum parking time: 8 hours from Monday to Friday. Free on Saturday.

For each of the three above-mentioned zones, an additional half hour is equivalent to a fine or the amount of the fixed rate after parking (FPS package – forfait de post-stationnement), i.e. 17 €.

  • 66 slots in the city centre with logos.

 

Parking du Diamant:

630 slots in the Diamant car park, located in the city centre, under the place Charles De Gaulle, and open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year round. You can also take advantage of “holiday packages” to park your car for a certain period (for boating, hiking, etc.), but which do not allow you to leave or enter the car during the chosen period.

Holiday package prices:

  • 1 week: €60
  • 2 weeks: €100
  • 3 weeks: €130
  • 1 month: €150

 

Miséricorde car park

  • 200 slots, located on the outskirts of the city, with a free shuttle to the city centre every 6 minutes.
  • open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year round.
  • Rate: 0.50 cents per hour. Free from 12:00 to 14:00 and from 19:30 to 9:00 the following day.
